The Isle of Harris Distillery's The Hearach of Château Biac is a rare and refined single malt Scotch whisky, born from a unique collaboration with Château Biac, a historic Bordeaux vineyard. This limited-edition release—just 720 bottles worldwide—was fully matured in French oak barrels that previously held the estate’s sweet white wine, Secret de Château Biac, marking the first time these casks have been used to age Scotch whisky.
Bottled at 50% ABV, non-chill filtered, and free from artificial coloring, this lightly peated whisky (12–15 ppm) offers a complex and evolving flavor profile. Tasting notes include gentle peat smoke, ripe pears, sweet lemon, jasmine, spring flowers, mixed spice, and vanilla, culminating in a finish of ripe fruit, new leather, and lingering peat smoke.
Presented in a bespoke label and gift box, The Hearach of Château Biac not only delivers a distinctive tasting experience but also symbolizes the friendship and creativity between the Isle of Harris and Château Biac.
50% ABV, 700 ml, Matured in French Wine Casks, Non-chill filtered / No artificial coloring.
